The game that boosts work productivity
Winners is an online platform for managing, boosting and motivating store employees, supporting and encouraging them to achieve individual goals and better team performance.

Our task was to redesign the experience and interface design of the platform, improving the users engagement and boosting implementation through grids and modules that adapt to multiple types of information.

THE PROCESS
Understanding the problem
When we started working on Winners, Fractal Mind already had developed a first version of the tool that was being tested with users. The feedback of the concept was exciting and users were anxious to start working with it. But the interface wasn't keeping up with the success of the concept.

The implementation team was having a hard time to develop the front-end without proper guidelines and grids. Despite the product concept was amazing, the interface and part of the user experience and interaction design were sabotaging the project.

    Poor user experience in core features
    Core features like register a sale were complex and exhaustive.

    Poor interface design
    Iconography was not intuitive and there were no grids or modules defined, making the product inconsistent and hard to use.

    Lack of guidelines
    The implementation team was having a hard time to develop the front-end without proper guidelines and grids.
OUR APPROACH
Analysing the product ecosystem
Winners ecosystem is composed by 4 distinct segments. Our job was to focus on three of them: Operational, Dashboard and Store Master. Each one had specific profiles involved that had distinct needs and goals so we deep dived into the documentation and interview reports to understand our users, their exact needs and work environment.

THE RESULT
Winners Operational
Winners operational was designed from scratch for mobile devices. After a careful research and interviews with users the team came to a conclusion that having access to the platform during a sale was pivotal. Therefor, the inicial though of having the platform accessible by desktop on the store was put aside. Mobile was the right approach.
Sales register in 2 steps: scan and confirm
Users can now scan the code bar of the products they are selling and register multiple sales at once. During the process, the platform suggests products related with what's being registered (eg. an insurance for an appliance). Take a look at the Wireframes vs Visual Design mocks:
Quick access to product catalog
More than a search tool: it assists the sale with technical information about the product.
This feature boots sales by giving the option to start sales registration directly from the catalog.
Winners Dashboard
Winners dashboard was designed to share information with a top management level, in order to have a clear view about each store and region performances.
Winners Store Master
Winners store master is a tool for store managers that gives a clear view of their teams status and store performances, maximising their time and effort. From managing goals and team missions with low effort to communicate with team members - this tool is a big boost in terms of coordination and management.
Design guidelines
Guidelines maximise designers and developers time and make sure the interface is consistent. We designed a set of recommendations towards good practice in design, providing clear instructions to designers and developers on how to adopt specific principles, such as efficiency and consistency, respecting the brand identity and the product ecosystem.
